Hello, #DataFriends in Alor Regency!
In preparation for the door-to-door fieldwork of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), which will take place from June 15 to August 31, 2026, the Alor Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) successfully conducted the first batch of training for prospective officers. The intensive three-day training, from June 8 to 11, 2026, was attended by 151 officers divided into six classes, from Class A to Class F. The entire training session ran smoothly thanks to the close guidance and supervision of six Regional Instructors (Inda), six class managers, and six committee members.
The first batch of training was officially opened and closed by the Head of BPS Alor Regency, Ms. Agus Sofiana. The training atmosphere further fueled the participants' enthusiasm when, on the first day, Mr. Yohanis Atamai from Commission I of the Alor Regency DPRD (Regional People's Representative Council) attended and toured all classes to provide motivation and encouragement to prospective officers. The excitement continued until the closing ceremony, which included prizes for the best participants in each class, as well as special recognition for Richianus Asalou, who was named the Best Participant of Wave 1.
Through this thorough training, it is hoped that all officers will truly understand the concepts and definitions accurately when conducting data collection in the field. This initial step demonstrates the joint commitment of the Alor Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) to produce accurate, valid, and high-quality data to support a better direction for economic development in Alor Regency.
