To prepare accurate and high-quality regional data, the Alor Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) held the 2026 Village Development Data Update Officer (PODES) Training.
This training was conducted in a hybrid format to ensure all officers had a comprehensive and consistent understanding.
The training series began with an online session via Zoom Meeting on April 9, 2026, and continued with an offline (face-to-face) session at Tamala Homestay on April 10, 2026. 🏨💻
The training was officially opened by the Head of the Alor Regency BPS, Ms. Agus Sofiana, SST. In her remarks, she emphasized that the quality of PODES data is highly dependent on the officers' understanding of the concepts and real-world conditions. During the training, participants were guided directly by the Regional Instructor (Inda) of the Alor Regency BPS, Ms. Nenglia Ahmad Hobol, A.Md.Stat.
✨ What is PODES and Why is it Important?
The PODES data collection is a strategic data source that captures regional potential, infrastructure availability, and socio-economic conditions in each village/sub-district.
Benefits & Objectives of PODES 2026:
✅ Updating the Village Master File (MFD) to maintain current regional data.
✅ Compiling the Geographical Difficulty Index (IKG), which serves as a basis for allocating Village Funds.
✅ A basis for development planning to identify underdeveloped villages and regional potential.
This training is expected to prepare officers for the field to produce professional, integrity-driven, and trustworthy data for the better development of Alor Regency.
