In October, BPS again conducted several special quarterly surveys. The surveys conducted include the Quarterly Special Survey of Production Balance (SKTNP) and the Quarterly Special Survey of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (SKLNPT).
The SKLNPT activity aims to obtain quarterly LNPRT consumption patterns. Meanwhile, the SKLNPT activity aims to obtain the latest and fastest information on the development of production indicators, labor, price indicators and income/output from companies/business units.
These two activities will be used as the basis for compiling Gross Domestic Product (GDP)/Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) both in terms of expenditure and business fields.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP)/Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is an indicator used to see economic growth. SKTNP and SKLNPT are implemented to meet the needs of compiling GRDP which requires price data and the amount of production of goods/services as well as LNPRT consumption patterns. Price and Production data and LNPRT consumption patterns are not always available for the quarterly period, so BPS carries out Quarterly Special Survey activities for both SKTNP and SKLNPT.
Currently, both activities are entering the third quarter. The enumeration activity is carried out from 1 - 20 October 2024. It is hoped that this activity can run according to the specified schedule so that the results can be used optimally in compiling GDP/PDRB.
